Join our team and be at the forefront of software testing for mission-critical systems, pushing the boundaries of sensor technology while collaborating with top engineers in the field.Key Details:Location: On-site in GlasgowSecurity Clearance: Must be SC clearableExperience Level: 5+ years’ experience in embedded software testingKey ResponsibilitiesDesign and execute software test cases to verify embedded system requirements, ensuring full test coverage.Set up and manage test environments for hardware and software integration, supporting complex system validation.Plan and conduct software test campaigns, integrating real hardware with simulation and emulation tools.Develop and maintain test documentation, including test plans, reports, compliance records, and fault logs.Perform manual and automated testing in Linux and Windows environments, ensuring software reliability.Investigate and report defects, providing clear reproduction steps and root cause analysis to engineering teams.QualificationsRequired Skills:5+ years’ experience in software test engineering, ideally within defence, aerospace, or other safety-critical systemsStrong understanding of black-box and white-box testing methodologiesProficient in working with real-time embedded systems and software/hardware version control toolsSkilled in test case generation, metrics tracking, and compliance verificationExperience using DOORS for requirements management and test traceabilityFamiliarity with test automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelinesRequired Qualifications:Must be eligible for UK Security Clearance (SC)A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant engineering or computing field OREquivalent applied experience from a UK Armed Forces technical backgroundDesirable Skills:Knowledge of IEC-61508 or DO-178C standards for safety-critical software testingExperience with automated test scripting and working within Agile or Waterfall methodologiesBackground in software development, particularly with C, C++, or PythonAdditional InformationWhy join us?We foster a community of dually talented individuals who are both entrepreneurs and technology specialists.
