As an Engineer End User Computing, you’ll ensure the smooth running of technology operations at FCDO Services by managing the lifecycle of service-raised incidents and requests, and maintaining end-user services. You’ll inform customers on progress and advise on workarounds when necessary. You’ll primarily work on-site, engaging directly with end-users to fix hardware and technical problems promptly. You’ll prioritise tasks by business needs and dependencies. You’ll provide resolutions through troubleshooting and diagnostics, and escalate faults to service desk, incident and problem managers as needed. You’ll perform routine (re)configuration and installation of secure managed devices, optimising performance. You’ll apply agreed methodologies, standards, and processes to inform decisions and you’ll be responsible for secure disposal of equipment and reviews of technical and operational process documentation. The goal is to minimise downtime and maintain organisational productivity.You should be committed to your professional development and sharing knowledge with colleagues. Add your IT expertise to our outstanding teamYou’ll bring Agile and ITIL Foundation level or equivalent experience, matched with Microsoft Fundamentals role-based certification. You should also have Level 3 Information Communication Technician or an equivalent Level 3 qualification in IT, Computer Science or relevant experience.You’ll be confident working with technologies used by FCDO Services, including Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, and Apple iOS. Significant experience with technologies in enterprise or secure environments is preferred, along with a strong technical understanding of hardware, operating systems, and software.
