A vacancy has arisen within our Hosting and Security Team for an experienced, enthusiastic, and flexible Engineer, with the aim of helping to ensure that Durham County Council provides secure, robust systems for our staff and customers to safely use.



WHAT IS INVOLVED?



The work in the Hosting and Security Team is varied and can include working alone or as part of a team in:





We are looking for an individual who has experience of participating in support as well as new projects, both individually and as part of a team. Applicants should demonstrate good communications skills to help deliver excellent, secure solutions and outcomes, by liaising with stakeholders, suppliers, or customers.

WHAT WILL I NEED?



You will need an appropriate qualification in either a public sector or a business / finance related discipline to at least BTEC/HNC/NVQ Level 4 or equivalent and/or have experience of working with ICT systems.

HYBRID WORKING



Durham County Council currently operates a hybrid working policy where a model of 2 days in the workplace and 3 days at home/remote will apply. This model is pro-rated for part time roles and arrangements are at managers discretion, alternatively you can work all of your contracted hours within the workplace if you prefer.
