Our fluid flow, thermodynamics or heat transfer technical work covers everything from using experience-based judgement and simple hand calculations, system level 1D modelling to detailed component level 2D/3D simulations. As Digital Engineering is part of the global Element Materials Technology group, our engineering consultancy services also support a range of Testing, Inspection and Certification projects via Element’s various laboratories.

We are looking to recruit an Engineer or Project Engineer with a strong consultancy mindset and demonstrable capability in a range of fluid flow, thermodynamics or heat transfer related topics. Element are committed to the continued development of our in-house, UK-based, permanent staff capability for Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and Thermofluids. The position is based in our Bristol or Derby offices, although some level of hybrid and flexible working arrangements can be made available. This position would suit someone relatively early in their career who is looking to develop further as an engineering consultant or to rapidly advance their technical capability.
