Location: Offices in Cardiff, Warrington, or Theale (UK-wide travel required)

Salary: £30,000 – £40,000 + allowances + benefits

The Role: We’re looking for Engineers to join the SAR Operations team. This is a hands-on, site-based role, working outdoors and supporting project teams in delivering safe, high-quality remediation projects across the UK.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Supervising site activities and subcontractors
  • Mobilising, operating, and maintaining specialist remediation equipment
  • Supporting project delivery in line with Health, Safety, and Environmental standards
  • Carrying out site checks, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring compliance
  • Assisting in the deployment and commissioning of remediation systems
  • Building strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and subcontractors
  • Regular UK travel and overnight stays (occasional Sunday night travel; early Friday finishes)

What We’re Looking For

  • Ideally, experience in remediation, contaminated land, or environmental engineering
  • Open to candidates from technical / mechanical / construction backgrounds with a strong interest in remediation
  • Practical, hands-on approach and willingness to work outdoors
  • Flexibility to travel regularly across the UK with overnight stays
  • Strong focus on Health & Safety
  • Good IT, organisational, and communication skills
  • Full UK driving licence (essential)

Progression to Senior Engineer: For candidates with greater experience, there is the opportunity to step into a Senior Engineer role, taking on additional responsibility for leading site teams, managing subcontractors, overseeing safety and quality, and mentoring junior engineers.
