Role Overview

Join as an Engineer / Senior Engineer – Building Structures with WSP in the UK & Ireland. Work on high‑profile education, healthcare and technology projects across the UK, gaining experience and progressing to Chartered status.

Responsibilities

  • Lead design & specification development, ensuring delivery by due dates.
  • Collaborate with architects and co‑professionals at project inception to establish briefs.
  • Assume responsibility for QA, CDM, archiving and support junior colleagues.
  • Participate in design reviews, staff development reviews and client liaison.

Qualifications

  • Achieved or approaching Chartered Engineer status (MIStructE/AIStructE/MICE) or equivalent experience.
  • Sound knowledge of structural engineering principles, analytical techniques, design software and Eurocode application.
  • Excellent communication skills and experience producing clear engineering deliverables.
  • Interest in low‑carbon design and embodied carbon assessment.
  • Experience in quality assurance of project deliverables, checking calculations and drawings to high‑quality outputs.
