An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our street lighting team. You will work with a variety of partners, customers, and clients on the delivery of a professional service that maximises resources and delivers positive outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the Council’s Street lighting assets, including our electric vehicle charging infrastructure.
- Be involved with our inspection and assessment regime, technical approval of proposed street lighting installations on public roads, designing new lighting installations and prioritising and delivering a program of capital and revenue work to ensure safe, well maintained street lighting assets.
Qualifications
- HNC in Electrical Engineering or relevant subject.
- Substantial knowledge and experience in the street lighting field with good AutoCAD skills and design experience utilising Lighting Reality.
- Experience in asset management and planning, tracking, and communicating progress on projects.
- Business and customer focused with a demonstrable record of identifying opportunities and achieving outcomes.
- Self-motivated with a flexible and collaborative approach to work and the ability to cope with multiple and changing demands whilst meeting tight deadlines.
- Good understanding and knowledge of relevant legislation, codes of practice and initiatives.
- Excellent organisational and IT skills; able to utilise Microsoft Office packages; clear written and verbal communication with customers, contractors and other stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel throughout North Lanarkshire to undertake the duties of this post.
- Current UK driving licence.
Working arrangements
You will be joining a dynamic and flexible team within Enterprise and Communities, who currently operate a hybrid model of home-working and office-based work at locations within North Lanarkshire.
Note: For this position, you will be required to hold a current UK driving licence to apply.
