Overview

We have an opportunity to join the Engineering team at Dunbia Treburley in Launceston. We are looking for a skilled Engineer (electrical bias desired but not essential) to support the production and site.

Hourly salary between £19.08 - £20.14 (pre overtime).

Shift, Holidays & Benefits

Currently the shift is operating from Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 18:00 based on a 40-hour working week. Overtime is payable after 40 hours at a premium rate. There is a call out rota which is generally one week in 4 and is paid at a premium rate. 20 days basic holiday entitlement + the 8 bank holidays. Dunbia use NEST as the pension provider with auto enrolment at the 3-month point. We offer additional training to support Engineers in developing their skill set.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring plant equipment is operating and functioning correctly
  • Proven Electrical / mechanical knowledge
  • Building maintenance
  • Stainless Steel fabrication TIG Welding an advantage
  • Maintaining equipment on a daily basis to ensure it is fit for its intended purpose
  • Continually developing to improve operations to drive improvements in quality, cost and safety
  • Assisting production with machinery problems and setups, providing relevant training when appropriate
  • Completing daily maintenance check sheets and job cards

Qualifications

  • Excellent organisational skills with ability to plan workloads effectively to meet deadlines
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
  • Attention to detail, commitment and the ability to accept responsibility are key in this role
  • Will be committed to working within the Company Mission, Vision & Values
  • Food industry experience is advantageous
  • Comfortable working at height
