Key Responsibilities
- Analysis of quality issues in projects
- Obtaining external designs and analyzing them for potential errors or critical points and documenting
- possible solutions
- Development and design of additional components, redesign of received components, and preparation
- Selection of materials considering manufacturer and/or supplier availability
- To assist in the development of new processes and procedures across teams
- Implement and maintain rigorous engineering process methodology amongst the manufacturing team
- Compilation and selection of technical regulations, standards, and norms
- Research and information gathering, including articles and datasheets
- To collaborate cross-functionally to support the successful delivery of projects, across both internal and
- external stakeholders
- Completion of the corresponding 4C and QR documents
- Proposing solutions to address the problem
- Visiting clients/suppliers when necessary
- Lead Practical Problem-Solving activities (PPS) to address Quality Concern Reports (QCR)
- Represent Managing Composites as a subject matter expert for teaching and project activities
- Supporting customers from development stage to serial production, managing suppliers and component
- manufacturing through to on-line assembly support
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, or a related field
- Experience of working with Fusion 360 and Microsoft Project
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Strong time-management skills and the ability to organise, coordinate and prioritise competing priorities
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- To enjoy working hands-on with a proactive attitude
- Advanced in Excel
- Comprehensive understanding of composite components and their production techniques
- Knowledge of finishing processes including machining, curing, fastening and surface preparation
- Knowledge of composite component inspection and repair techniques
- Willingness to travel within the UK and overseas to support customers when required
