Essential Criteria

  • Level 5 or above qualification in Computer Science, Electronics or related discipline; OR Previous study to Cisco CCNP standard or other vendor equivalent, e.g. Juniper, Fortinet; OR Demonstrable equivalent experience to either of the above
  • Experience of working in network infrastructure in an enterprise environment, with up-to-date technical knowledge including routing, switching, firewalls and load balancers
  • Working knowledge and experience of telephony systems including VoIP, and call handling systems.
  • Ability to analyse complex numerical data and identify trends and anomalies.
  • Experience of problem-solving using programming language such as Python, Java, or C.
  • Experience of managing project delivery in a technical specialist environment.
  • Ability to work outside office hours as requested.

Desirable criteria

  • Practitioner level qualification in an ICT or related discipline, e.g. PRINCE2, ITIL, BCM
  • Experience of the implementation, configuration and maintenance of a mainstream Linux distribution, e.g. Debian, Redhat, CentOS
  • Formal qualification in ICT Networking e.g. CCNP
