Environmental Compliance Engineer

Reed is recruiting for dedicated a detail-oriented Compliance Engineer to ensure adherence to environmental regulations across all divisions, including tools, spare parts, packaging, and chemical substances. This role spans legacy products, new acquisitions and involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities:
Conduct material compliance evaluations across product lines. Analyse Bills of Materials (BoMs) to ensure regulatory alignment. Perform “where used” analysis of identified parts using systems like SAP and Enovia. Track and resolve open issues with suppliers, customers, and internal teams. Prepare technical reports detailing chemical substances in parts/products for regulations including REACH, RoHS, POP, TSCA, and SCIP.
Program Development & Data Analysis:
Design systems for recordkeeping and reporting of environmental compliance data. Analyse energy reports for sustainability reporting and identify energy-saving opportunities. Integrate data into Enovia to run “where used” analyses and identify impacted parts as materials transition from watch lists to restricted lists. Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for environmental compliance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, or a related field. Experience with enterprise systems such as SAP, Enovia, and eQuality. Familiarity with environmental regulations and reporting (REACH, RoHS, SCIP, TSCA, etc.). Excellent communication and collaboration skills across multidisciplinary teams.
