**What You’ll Be Doing**As a **ERP/Application Support Engineer** you will undertake 3rd line support, change management and project activities. Committed to driving service excellence through continuous improvement, identifying optimisation opportunities, and ensuring seamless service transitions in collaboration with project teams. Lead technical handovers prior to go-live, ensuring operational readiness. Proactive in documenting and sharing knowledge, enhancing the capability of IT, working collaboratively with all, ultimately ensuring the business receives maximum value from services provided by the IT Services team.* Work as a Support Engineer within the Application Engineering team, undertaking support, changes, and projects activities across all ERP and Business applications.* Lead service transitions of new or changed services into the IT Services function, ensuring all information is collated and documentation is written, to ensure the service is well supported post go-live.* Work on Service Improvement projects to deliver enhancements, system upgrades, or put new solutions in place to improve the service delivered to the business.* Actively identify areas for improvement in services supported and support a culture of innovation and improvement within own team and across other teams.* Provide a level of third line support for colleagues in other teams, helping to resolve incidents and service requests when required.* Own and resolve Incidents assigned to team and own queue, ensuring that effective communication is maintained throughout, and business impact is understood and minimised.* Ensure that Service Requests assigned to team and own queue are fulfilled in a timely manner and that customers are sent notification when work is complete.* Document processes, procedures and review documentation written by other team members, providing feedback where required.* Lead or actively participate in project and design meetings using knowledge of the business, existing systems, and processes to add value to the project.* Follow change management processes to implement new or changed services, ensuring that changes are communicated in advance of their planned implementation date.* Research new and emerging technologies to be able to evaluate whether these can offer any business benefit.* Be proactive in facilitating the transfer of knowledge throughout the team, aiding other team members, and helping them to build on their own understanding of services delivered.**What We’re Looking For***Essential** Experienced 3rd line support engineer supporting a wide range of enterprise level applications, providing operational and technical support through the effective use and management of Incident, Service Requests, Problems and Changes.* Proven experience working with 3rd party suppliers, ensuring issues are escalated and dealt with as necessary and to SLA.* Technical knowledge in maintaining and troubleshooting ERP systems at a 3rd line support level.* Provide technical support to the application architect and project managers as required for project deliverables.* Proficient in scripting in one or more languages, applying automation and process enhancements to drive efficiency and service improvement.* Ensure that security, compliance, and legislation is considered in all aspects of the role and associated processes.* Technical knowledge of cloud hosted applications.* Skilled in producing clear, high-quality documentation that facilitates knowledge sharing and operational continuity.* Strong communicator with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.* Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a proactive approach to issue resolution.* An understanding of application architecture principles and system interface design.* Working knowledge of ITIL best practices, with practical experience applying its framework in a support environment.* Participate in the out-of-hours on-call rota, providing technical assistance for critical incidents and planned maintenance.*Desirable** Experience in supporting a variety of enterprise systems:* Kerridge ERP system* CRM (Salesforce)* E-commerce sites (SAP Cloud Commerce)* Azure hosted applications* Integration tools* Experience of EDI technology.* Experience in IT service management and issue tracking tools such as ServiceNow and Jira.* ITIL Foundation certification.* Educated to degree level or has equivalent experience.* Competitive Base salary* Discretionary bonus* Retirement savings plan* Life assurance* Enhanced maternity/paternity/adoption leave for anyone expecting or adopting a child* A wide range of voluntary benefits including holiday buying, discounted gym membership, car salary sacrifice scheme, Cycle2Work, Benenden Healthcare and more.* Access to a wealth of health and wellbeing services including access to online GP appointments and mental health support* WorkPerks – A platform home to hundreds of all your favourite high street and online discounts via the provider Reward Gateway**Quality** - We’re unwavering in our commitment to providing outstanding products and service that exceed our customers’ expectations.**Supportive Environment** - Join a culture that prioritises your growth, with the resources and support you need to excel.
