We are seeking an experienced and motivated individual with a passion for managing and extending the life of ageing critical assets. If you are a capable engineering consultant with a background in asset integrity, condition assessments and asset life extension in fields relating to pressure equipment, pipework or rotating machinery, we would welcome your application. Frazer-Nash supports clients by delivering specialized guidance on the safe and efficient operation of their assets across industries. Projects focus on high value, high performance and/or safety critical assets, spanning the full lifecycle from substantiation of new designs to supporting life extension of critical plant. They should understand how to form effective teams and have experience developing and mentoring junior team members. The ideal candidate should articulate how they will contribute towards Frazer-Nash's culture of transparency, positivity, trust and community. Responsibilities
Collaborate closely with customers to diagnose and resolve defects in individual vessels and/or develop strategies for entire production facilities or power stations. Work across the business and with clients in a consultancy environment; provide structured problem solving, make decisions, and take ownership. Form effective teams with the capabilities needed to meet customer requirements; support the development and mentoring of junior team members. Apply design/assessment codes and perform plant operation analysis, pressure vessel and pipe work assessments, rotating machinery assessments; contribute to FE analyses (FEA) and fitness-for-service methods when applicable. Engage in projects across industries such as power generation, process and chemical, turbomachinery, rail, maritime, renewable energy, and upstream/downstream oil & gas as appropriate.
Essential Requirements
A degree in engineering or equivalent (MEng, MSc or PhD). Ability to travel and conduct site visits, customer meetings, and plant walkdowns. Deep technical knowledge in mechanical/structural engineering with familiarity across other disciplines. Experience with Finite Element Analysis (Abaqus, Ansys or LS-Dyna). Experience with codes and standards such as ASME III, ASME VIII, API579, BS7608, BS7910, R5/R6. Experience in a customer-facing role for project delivery and business development. Recognised by peers/industry as a trusted advisor in your discipline.

Salary range: £40,000 to £65,000 per annum depending on experience Location: Leatherhead, Bristol, Burton on Trent, Gloucester, Glasgow, Manchester or Plymouth Working pattern: Flexible hybrid working pattern; time split between the office, client sites and working from home.
