As a result of recent successes and the development of new projects and clients, Stantec is looking to recruit a Senior, Principal, or experienced Water Resources Engineer into our Dams & Reservoirs team. You will work as part of our Dams & Reservoirs team within our Energy & Resources business, on a wide variety of projects across Dams and Hydropower. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will be involved with hydrology studies/analyses, hydraulic modelling and design, and dam break and floodplain inundation studies. Contribute to hydrology studies/analyses and hydraulic modelling for dams and hydropower projects. Perform dam design and assessment work, including dam break and floodplain studies. Prepare technical reports and liaise with client teams and stakeholders. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of hydraulic/civil engineers, hydrologists, geotechnical, structural, and mechanical engineers. Support business development and project delivery within the Dams & Reservoirs discipline.
Qualifications
Degree qualified in Civil Engineering with experience in hydraulics and hydrology. Chartered or on the road to Chartership (preferred). Experience within the Dams hydraulics area (essential). Experience with 1D steady and unsteady modeling in software such as HADES and HEC-RAS. Experience with 2D modeling in software such as HEC-RAS, RiverFlow2D or TUFLOW. Experience with CFD modelling in software such as FLOW-3D, OpenFOAM or SimFLOW (advantageous).
