External Lighting Engineer London £43,000

We are seeking an External Lighting Engineer to join our Electrical Contractor clients. The role is based in London and comes with a salary of £43,000. The role involves installation, maintenance, and servicing of street lighting infrastructure—including lighting columns, feeder pillars, illuminated signage, bollards, and external lighting systems—primarily within the social housing and local authority sectors.

Responsibilities for External Lighting Engineer

Interpret underground cable drawings and specifications for lighting installations Install, maintain, and repair street lighting furniture and external lighting systems Conduct groundworks including trenching, ducting, and fault excavation Diagnose underground faults using CAT/Genny and technical drawings Perform routine visual and electrical inspections Ensure compliance with BS 7671 regulations and health & safety standards Accurately complete job reports and documentation Attend training sessions and participate in performance reviews Collaborate with office staff and supervisors to resolve queriesRequirements for External Lighting Engineer
