Our client, a leader in the motorsports sector, is inviting applications for the role of Senior Composite Design Engineer. This is a permanent opportunity within the thrilling world of Formula 1, ideal for those passionate about innovation and achieving excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing F1 car composite parts, covering layout installations to patterns, moulds, tools, and jigs
- Enhancing development processes for more efficient design
- Mentoring less experienced designers
- Creating and maintaining detailed design documentation, including drawings, specifications, and analysis reports
- Collaborating with departments to ensure reliability and performance of designed parts
- Staying up-to-date with latest technical developments in composite materials
- Contributing ideas for performance improvements and identifying potential issues
- Ensuring proactive and effective communication with various teams
Job Requirements:
- Proven experience in composite design, preferably in the automotive or motorsports industry
- Expertise in composite manufacturing techniques using pre-preg technology
- Proficiency in CAD software, specifically Siemens NX
- University degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities
- Capability to work under pressure to meet targets and deadlines
- Ownership of assigned projects
