Fabrication Engineer
New Yesterday
Fabrication Engineer – Weld it. Fix it. Build it. Repeat.
Brackley | Tues–Sat, 6am–3pm | No Paper Tigers
If your idea of a satisfying day involves TIG welding stainless steel instead of sitting in a meeting talking about “synergy,” then read on.
This is a hands-on fabrication role in a fast-moving food factory. You’ll be welding, repairing, building, grinding — basically keeping the place together with your head, your hands, and a decent MIG setup.
Some of it’s in the workshop. Some of it’s on the factory floor. None of it involves staring blankly at a whiteboard pretending “continuous improvement” means buying a new spanner.
The job:
TIG welding stainless steel and repairing anything that’s fallen apart or about to
Designing and fabricating bespoke pieces — not just bodge jobs with zip ties
Working with galvanised steel modules that are, apparently, critical to keeping things moving
Taking pride in solid engineering standards and good hygiene practices (it’s a food factory, not a scrap yard)
Following schedules, but also using your head when things change — because they will
You’ll need to:
Know your way around MIG & TIG like you weren’t taught last week
Mark out and fabricate your own work — no one’s going to babysit you
Be comfortable using oxy-acetylene gear
Communicate with the team witho...
