This role is in support of Cencora's wholesale distribution services in Europe operating through our Alliance Healthcare business.\n\nThe Central Logistics Centre (CLC) is Alliance Healthcare UK's new, next- logistics facility based in Birmingham. Designed with advanced automation and cutting-edge robotics, the CLC is a world-class, game-changing addition to the Alliance Healthcare estate. It's set to redefine how we manage and deliver medical, health, and beauty products to our customers across the UK.\n\nRole Overview:\n\nWe are seeking a proactive and skilled Facilities Management Engineer to join our team at the Central Logistics Centre (CLC).

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the compliance and maintenance of our site’s building fabric and utilities, contributing to the smooth operation of our pharmaceutical supply chain.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\n * \n\n Conduct routine statutory checks on fire systems, generators, and utilities.\n\n * \n\n Perform maintenance inspections and first fixes across plumbing, HVAC, electrical systems, and more.\n\n * \n\n Manage planned maintenance tasks and respond to reactive maintenance requests.\n\n * \n\n Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, conducting risk assessments and implementing safety protocols.\n\n * \n\n Oversee contractor work and maintain effective communication with stakeholders.\n\n * \n\n Support the site’s recycling initiatives and promote a culture of continuous improvement.\n\nEssential Requirements:\n\n * \n\n NVQ Level 3 or higher (e.g., City and Guilds, ONC, or HNC) in engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Building Services, Heating and Plumbing, HVAC).\n\n * \n\n Relevant IEE wiring qualification (e.g., 18th Edition).\n\n * \n\n Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.\n\n * \n\n Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.\n\n * \n\n Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.\n\nDesirable Requirements:\n\n * \n\n IPAF Licence for Scissor Lift (desirable).\n\n * \n\n IOSH Managing Safely certification (desirable).\n\n * \n\n Experience in Building Management Systems, Fire Systems, and L8 Legionella Responsible Person training (desirable).\n\nSkills and Knowledge:\n\n * \n\n Comprehensive understanding of facilities management practices and principles.\n\n * \n\n Knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations and compliance standards.\n\n * \n\n Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.\n\n * \n\n Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with stakeholders
