OPT OUT - Monday to Thursday 8am to 5pm/Friday 8am to 1pm
Role Overview and Responsibilities: The FAIR Engineer - Quality shall work with multiple teams across the business to produce / capture and submit First Article inspection records in accordance with AS 9102 - latest issue. Fair engineers shall be capable of the entire process - including customer contact and approval of both delta Fairs and full Fairs. Supplier Fair reviews and approvals are included in this role.
Responsibilities
Demonstrate safe behaviour at all times, and ensure yourself and others in your working areas are safe and not exposed to significant risk.
Supporting the introduction of new parts and tools into the manufacturing environment.
Evaluation of the Production of Support documentation for products including Route Cards, Job Traveller, Control Plans and Build Standards.
Accurate and comprehensive understanding of GD&T as well as reconciliation of test data with tolerances.
Sound understanding of the Aerospace Industry
Ability to read Engineering drawings, understanding Key Characteristics (KC), and Geometric tolerances with their interactions
Ability to internalise AS9100 and AS9102
Conducting internal audits to AS9100
Demonstrated organisational, planning and program skills with careful attention to detail.
Be a good Team Player.
Work well under pressure to meet strict deadlines.
A high standard of Maths and English.
A strong interest in mechanical/electronic engineering.
A formal qualification in Quality, Electronic or Mechanical Engineering
PPAP/Lean Manufacturing/CI qualification or relevant experience in application of lean tools and creations of improvement plans (six sigma)
Qualifications & Experience
Proven experience in quality engineering or a related field within aerospace or similar regulated industries.
Experience with AS9100/AS9102 requirements and internal auditing.
Strong problem-solving and continuous improvement mindset.
Good communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
