We are looking for a Fibre Build Engineer to join our team in the Bristol, Bath and Gloucester area. In this role you will be responsible for designing and creating fit for purpose and cost-effective fibre optic splice plans, cable duct and routing, and where applicable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Understanding job packs
  • Working with the field-based build manager to progress the deliver in the line with project plans.
  • Integrating fibre paths.
  • Cabling and/or splicing knowledge/experience on Openreach build
  • Providing updates on daily progress reports.
  • Understanding signing, lighting & guarding requirements as per NRSWA specification to ensure your site set up is compliant.

Person Specification

  • Experience with splicing, testing, overhead and underground spanning.
  • Have a keen eye for quality workmanship.
  • Previous experience in telecoms building network.
  • SA001 & SA002 PIA safety accreditation.
  • Previous splice and testing experience
  • Good communication skills with a customer focus
  • A legal right to work in the UK.
  • As a requirement an enhanced DBS check must be passed
  • Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.

Accreditations Required

  • OH & UG Cabling – SA001, SA002, CSS-01, K8, N27, N28, NASWA 01
  • Splicer – SA001, SA002, CSS-01, N23, NASWA 01
