Field Based Electrical Maintenance and Fire Safety Engineer Pay: £40,000 - £45,000 per year Job Type: Full-time Schedule: Monday to Friday (including some nights away each week) About the Role Our client is seeking a qualified and experienced Field-Based Electrical Maintenance & Fire Safety Engineer to join their dynamic team. In this role, you'll carry out installation, inspection, testing, and maintenance of electrical systems, fire detection systems, and portable fire extinguishers across a variety of commercial and industrial sites. This is a field-based position requiring travel to client premises, so flexibility and autonomy are essential. Key Responsibilities Install, inspect, and maintain low-voltage electrical installations in accordance with BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations) Test, service, and maintain fire detection and alarm systems to BS 5839-1 standards Carry out inspection, maintenance, and recharging of fire extinguishers in line with BS 5306-3/8/9 Complete and submit accurate reports, safety documentation, and compliance records Diagnose faults and propose appropriate corrective actions Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety procedures and fire safety legislation Ensure all jobs, maintenance or remedial works are attended to where possible, escalate to your line manager and the o...
