Field Service Engineer – Commercial Cleaning Equipment

Location: Mobile – Edinburgh & Surrounding Areas

Salary: From £28,000 - £36,000

Hours: Full-time, Permanent



About the Role


A leading supplier of commercial cleaning equipment is looking for a skilled Field Service Engineer to cover Edinburgh and the surrounding area. You’ll be home-based, travelling directly to customer sites in your company-provided van to carry out servicing, repairs, and maintenance on a variety of commercial and domestic cleaning machines – from traditional models to advanced robotic solutions.

This role is ideal for someone mechanically minded, customer-focused, and confident working independently.



Key Responsibilities


  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of cleaning equipment
  • Provide on-site technical support and excellent customer service
  • Order and manage spare parts for specific jobs and stock replenishment
  • Complete all service and warranty paperwork accurately
  • Advise customers on correct set-up, operation, and maintenance procedures



What We’re Looking For


  • Proven experience as a Field Service Engineer (preferably in commercial cleaning or similar sectors)
  • Strong mechanical skills and ability to read schematics/drawings
  • IT literate with good attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills and a professional approach
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage your own schedule
  • Flexible and eager to learn
  • Full UK driving licence
