As a Field Engineer with a background in Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I), you will play a key role in supporting the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical and instrumentation systems across the site. You’ll ensure compliance with engineering standards, environmental regulations, and project timelines.

  • Initial 12 month contract 
  • Outside IR35
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee installation and commissioning of E&I systems including power distribution, control panels, instrumentation loops, and emergency diesel generators.
  • Support integration of advanced process control systems, including acid and ammonia scrubbers, VOC monitoring, and catalyst production equipment.
  • Conduct site inspections, troubleshoot issues, and ensure quality assurance across all E&I activities.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical, process, and environmental engineers.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 14001 EMS protocols and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate documentation including redline drawings, test reports, and commissioning records.
  • Liaise with contractors and vendors to ensure timely delivery and installation of equipment.
  • Support environmental monitoring systems and ensure emissions control equipment is functioning optimally.
  • Requirements:

  • Degree or HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, or related discipline.
  • Proven experience in field engineering within industrial or refinery environments.
  • Strong understanding of hazardous area installations and ATEX standards.
  • Familiarity with PLCs, SCADA systems, and instrumentation calibration.
  • Knowledge of environmental compliance and emissions control systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently on-site.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
