Field Service Engineer - Cambridge

A company specialising in water treatment systems and services is seeking a Field Service Engineer to travel to areas within the UK and install and service a range of commercial and industrial products. The Field Service Engineer will have completed a level 3 mechanical engineering apprenticeship or have experience with water purification. In addition, the FSE will have a full UK driving licence, be happy to do field servicing work, and is flexible on doing occasional overnight work if needed.\n\nApplications from ex-military personnel are strongly encouraged\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nInstall, commission, service and fault-find on water purification equipment to meet customer specifications\n\t\nLog relevant details on the job undertaken, and ensure all systems and documentation are signed\n\t\nLook after the company van/stock and do daily/monthly checks\n\t\nEnsure health and safety is upheld and assist in the implementation of QMS systems compliant with ISO 9001\n\t\nContinue to train with new systems and equipment\n\t\nCommunicate with the customer and provide an excellent service\n\nKnowledge, skills and qualifications:\n\nEssential: \n\nAttained C&Gs qualifications or equivalent in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering\n\t\nMinimum 5 GCSEs including A*-C grade in English, Maths and Science\n\t\nHave a comprehensive understanding of electrical and mechanical regulations\n\t\nIs knowledgeable about health and safety regulations\n\t\nHas a full and clean UK driving licence\n\t\nWilling to travel and is flexible for occasional overnights\n\t\nExcellent communication, reporting, and problem-solving skills\n\t\nBe a quick learner, have high standards, and have strong attention to detail\n\t\nHave strong decision-making skills with the ability to prioritise and plan effectively\n\t\nHave the ability to work well under pressure and meet targets\n\t\nBe self-motivated and be a team player\n\nDesirable:\n\nCSCS/JIB UK-PMES Card or a valid “Pass” on the Health and Safety Exam\n\t\nWater Purification methods & performance\n\t\nPASMA Scaffolding Towers Certificate\n\t\nEmergency First Aid at Work\n\t\nManual Handling\n\t\nWorking at Height\n\t\nElectrical Isolation\n\t\nRisk Assessments\n\nSalary: £36,000 to £38,000 DOE\n\nBenefits: company vehicle, company smartphone, pension, training, uniform and PPE, career progression, bonus opportunities
