Job Title: Mechanical Field Service Engineer - Garage Equipment\n Job Type: Permanent\nLocations: North Scotland, Central Belt, West Yorkshire, North West, Telford, Essex, South London \n\nOverview:\n We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Field Service Engineer to join a well-established team supporting a wide range of garage equipment, with a strong focus on vehicle lifts and brake testers. Working from home, you'll be responsible for servicing, repairing, and calibrating equipment within an approximately one-hour travel radius. \nThis is a day-based role with no stay-aways or on-call requirements, offering genuine work-life balance.
Travel time is fully paid, and voluntary overtime is available for those who want it. \n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nService, repair, and calibrate garage equipment, including vehicle lifts and brake testers\nDiagnose mechanical faults and perform corrective maintenance\nDeliver a high standard of customer service while working independently on site\nComplete job reports and documentation accurately\nRequirements:\n\nMechanical engineering or technical background\nHands-on experience with maintenance, fault finding, and repairs\nPrevious experience with garage equipment (especially lifts/brake testers) \nStrong communication skills and good spoken/written English\nFull UK driving licence\nWorking Hours:\n\nMonday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (40 hours/week)\nIf you're a reliable, technically-minded engineer looking to work with a leading company in the garage equipment industry - without the disruption of regular overnight stays - we'd love to hear from you
