This hybrid role offers the perfect balance of hands-on fieldwork and technical support, ideal for someone who thrives on variety, autonomy, and problem-solving.
What You'll Be Doing: Field Service (60%)
- Carry out diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on heavy plant and road construction machinery
- Support national key accounts and dealer locations across Glasgow and Inverness
- Assist with machine handovers, commissioning, and breakdowns
- Provide technical help to customer workshops and resolve complex issues
- Deliver outstanding service to ensure long-term customer satisfaction
- Provide technical support via phone, email, and in person
- Conduct training sessions for customers and dealers
- Support product launches and software upgrades
- Evaluate warranty claims and contribute to technical reporting
- Act as the link between field feedback and engineering teams
- Create service bulletins and technical guides
- Level 3 NVQ (or equivalent) in Plant, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering
- 3–5 years' experience working with heavy plant or construction equipment
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostics skills (mechanical and electrical)
- Valid CSCS card
- Confident communicator who’s comfortable delivering training and working directly with clients
- Commercially aware and able to represent the brand professionally
- Highly self-motivated with excellent organisational skills
- Salary: £43,500
