Generator Engineer
Central Belt Based (Glasgow, Edinburgh, Falkirk, Livingston, etc.)
Home-based, covering the Scotland region
£35,000 per annum + plenty of overtime, company van, mobile, laptop, early finish on Friday, 33 days holiday including bank holidays

This role offers autonomy, where you will use your technical skills for reactive and planned maintenance across various sites. The company invests in staff development and offers structured training to advance your skills and career.
The company is well established, working with multiple blue-chip clients, and is experiencing rapid growth. This varied role covers the Scotland region.
Ideal candidates are those with generator or plant hire experience seeking to join a reputable UK company and increase earnings through overtime.
Role Responsibilities:
- Planned and reactive maintenance on generators
- Fault finding (control panels, AC/DC electrical systems, genset synchronization)
- Basic pay: £17.25/hour, 39 hours/week (8:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday-Thursday, 3:30 pm finish Friday)
- Overtime paid at 1.5x (from 6:00 am to 8:00 am, and 4:30 pm to midnight), 2.0x (midnight to 6:00 am)
- Scotland patch (up to Aberdeen, Inverness, down to Glasgow & Edinburgh), occasional visits to Livingston depot
Role Requirements:
- NVQ in plant maintenance or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering
- Experience with generators or plant hire equipment
- Full, clean UK driving license
- Interest in developing skills through industry-specific training and courses
