They are looking for a dedicated and skilled Service Engineer to join their team and support the installation, maintenance, and repair of our innovative furniture solutions.\nJob summary:\nTo perform as a member of the Field Service Team, to visit customer premises within the designated geographical region but not restricted to.

The role is to achieve servicing, repairs, inspections and other reasonable tasks upon request.\nKey accountabilities:\n * Deliver excellent customer experience\n * Attend sites as required and in order of the schedule provided, unless agreed with Field Service Supervisor or Customer Experience Manager\n * Carry out annual servicing of all products\n * Fulfil repairs with stock from vehicle\n * Writing up of repairs or replacement and take images as and when required\n * Carry out inspections as requested\n * Look after and maintain company equipment including vehicle to the required standards\n * Complete a Kanban form weekly with required parts and if none required this will need to be submitted stating this\n * Receive stock to your home address which is the address you operate from as per your contract\n * Load all stock onto your vehicle after delivery\n * Maintain adequate stock on your vehicle for you to fulfil your role to the required standard\n * Manage the balance of maintenance work to ensure it is kept to a minimum\n * Maintain accurate paperwork via laptop including time sheets, job sheets, stock paperwork\n * Work with the scheduling department to deliver an efficient, effective schedule of work\n * Check schedules and report any ideas to help make the schedule as efficient as possible 2 weeks in advance\n * Work with the scheduling team to achieve monthly shipment goals as forecasted\n * Follow departmental and company processes and procedures\n * Cover for other team members when required\n * Work with service sales and RSM’s to identify leads\n * Contribute to building relationships with other areas of the business to support the overall business objectives\nExperience required:\nExperience with the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical or structural products (experience with furniture is a plus).\nStrong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of tools and equipment used for assembling and repairing furniture.\nExcellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical or product-related issues quickly\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused attitude\nAbility to explain technical details to non-technical customers in an easy-to-understand manner\nThe role involves manual handling and assembly of furniture, requiring physical strength and stamina\nStrong attention to detail, especially when assembling products or diagnosing issues.\nDriving License: A valid driver’s license is required, as travel to customer sites is an essential part of the job.\nExperience in a service engineer or field technician role.\nPrevious experience in furniture manufacturing or installation, maintenance is an advantage.\nPackage and further details:\nEngineers typically work alone however there is sometimes the need for 2-man jobs\nNormal travel up to 2 hours to jobs depending on the area\n(if over 2 hours away then a Premier Inn is provided for the night and meals included)\nSalary: £27,000 - £27,500\nHours : 42 hours – normally between 7am – 6pm\nOvertime: is paid at time and a half\nPetrol Allowance: All fuel is paid/ issued with a fuel card to use at petrol stations\nVan provided\nPackage: 20 days holiday plus stats – rises to 25 days plus stats after 3 years\nPension scheme: 3% employer contribution after 3
