Field Service Engineer\n\nLocations: Edinburgh and the surrounding areas \n Salary: £28,350 + Bonus Scheme\n Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday (paid door-to-door)\n Contract: Full-time, Permanent\n\nWe're looking for experienced and motivated Field Service Engineer to join a well-established healthcare engineering team supporting care homes and medical facilities across the Edinburgh and surrounding areas. You'll play a key role in keeping vital patient-handling equipment operating safely and efficiently, ensuring care professionals can continue providing high-quality support to those who need it most.\n\nThis is a great opportunity for hands-on engineers who enjoy variety, travel, and working with purpose-driven equipment that genuinely impacts people's lives.\n\nWhat You'll Do\n\nYou'll work both independently and as part of a wider service team, providing installation, maintenance, and repair support for a range of healthcare equipment.\n\nTypical duties include:\n\nInstalling and assembling profiling beds and alternating pressure mattresses (APMs)\nServicing and inspecting assisted baths, hoists, scales, and plinths\nCleaning, decontaminating, and repairing APMs in the workshop when required\nDelivering and setting up equipment on client sites\nCompleting accurate digital service reports via a mobile app\nFollowing strict health and safety procedures at all times\nMaintaining professional communication with clients and colleaguesThis role involves travel across the UK and occasional overnight stays, with all costs covered.\n\nWhat We're Looking For\n\nYou'll already have experience in a technical, servicing, or maintenance role and enjoy working in a practical, customer-facing environment.\n\nEssential skills and experience:\n\nFull UK driving licence\nBackground in mechanical, electrical, or electro-mechanical engineering\nStrong problem-solving and fault-finding ability\nConfident communicator with a professional approach\nPhysically fit and comfortable with nationwide travel\nAble to obtain a PVG certificate (application supported)What's on Offer\n\nBasic salary: £28,350\nBonus scheme following successful probation\n31 days holiday (including bank holidays and company closure days)\nPaid door-to-door working hours\nOvertime paid at time and a quarter\nCompany pension scheme\nAll accommodation and expenses covered for overnight stays\nOngoing training and genuine opportunities to develop your technical skills and careerIf you're a practical engineer who enjoys variety, takes pride in your work, and wants to make a real difference within the healthcare sector, we'd love to hear from you
