Field Service Engineer-CCTV, Access Control & Security Systems\n\nLocation: Manchester \n Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent\n Travel: Regional travel with occasional overnight stays required\n Salary: Negotiable dependent on experience\n\nAbout the Role for Field Service Engineer:\n\nAn excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Field Service Engineer to join a leading security systems integrator delivering advanced electronic security solutions across the UK. This is a field-based position covering Stoke, Leeds, and Manchester, working on a wide range of CCTV, Access Control, Perimeter Detection, and Integrated Security Systems for commercial, public sector, and critical infrastructure clients. You'll be responsible for maintenance, fault-finding, servicing, and reactive repairs on large-scale, high-end integrated systems, ensuring our clients' sites remain secure, compliant, and operational.
This role offers a varied workload, exposure to the latest security technologies, and opportunities for training and career progression within a growing engineering team.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nCarry out preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive service calls on CCTV, Access Control, Intruder, and Security Systems.\nDiagnose and repair faults across analogue, IP, and network-based security systems.\nService and maintain equipment including DVRs, NVRs, network switches, and control room systems.\nProvide technical support for perimeter intrusion detection, gates, and barrier systems.\nComplete service reports, update job management systems, and maintain accurate documentation.\nDeliver an excellent standard of customer service and communication at all times.\nParticipate in the on-call rota and work flexibly, including occasional nights away.\nEnsure all work is completed safely and in accordance with relevant standards and procedures.\n\nSkills & Experience Required\n\nProven experience as a Field Service Engineer, Security Systems Engineer, or CCTV Engineer.\nStrong technical knowledge of CCTV systems (analogue and IP), Access Control systems (multi-site and site mustering), and Intruder Alarm Systems.\nUnderstanding of Networking and IP configuration.\nAbility to diagnose and repair electronic security faults on-site.\nFull UK driving licence.\nExcellent communication, organisation, and customer-facing skills.Benefits include:\n\nCompetitive salary (dependent on experience).\nCompany vehicle, laptop, mobile phone, and uniform provided.\nPaid travel time and overtime opportunities.\nComprehensive training on advanced integrated systems.\nClear progression path within a growing security engineering team.\n25 days holiday plus bank holidays.Interested?
