Field Service Engineer\n\nHome-Based (Travel Across the UK)\n\nMonday to Friday, with occasional weekend and overnight work 8:30am - 4:30pm\n\nPROFILE:\n\nW Talent is proud to be supporting a market-leading engineering company specialising in process weighing systems and industrial instrumentation. With a strong reputation for innovation and technical excellence, they are now looking to expand their aftermarket team with the addition of a Field Service Engineer.\n\nThe Role:\n\nAs a Field Service Engineer, you'll be responsible for the calibration, commissioning, installation, and maintenance of on-site process weighing systems and other instrumentation. This is a home-based, field-based position requiring daily travel to customer sites, with occasional overnight stays and weekend availability.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\n* Perform scheduled calibrations, breakdown repairs, and commissioning of weighing and measurement systems\n\n* Calibrate temperature controllers & probes, pressure gauges, pH & conductivity probes\n\n* Install and calibrate in-line belt weighing and boiler leak detection systems\n\n* Complete detailed service call reports and calibration certificates before leaving site\n\n* Conduct off-site repair of scales and balances\n\n* Ensure all work complies with company HSE policies and procedures\n\n* Attend training and assist with final assembly and testing at HQ when required\n\n* Support colleagues in the field where necessary\n\nKey Requirements:\n\nQualifications:\n\n* Time-served engineer (Essential)\n\n* ONC or equivalent in Electrical / Electronic Engineering (Essential)\n\n* HNC in Electrical / Electronic Engineering (Desirable)\n\nExperience:\n\n* Hands-on experience in field service roles, ideally in process weighing and temperature calibration\n\n* Familiarity with working in food hygiene or industrial environments\n\n* Ability to work independently and under pressure\n\n* Willingness to travel across the UK with regular overnight stays\n\nSkills:\n\no Fault-finding and troubleshooting of weighing and measurement systems\n\no Calibration of various instrumentation, including temperature, pressure, and pH probes\n\no Knowledge of platforms, balances, silos, and process control systems\n\nAttributes:\n\no Self-motivated and able to work independently\n\no Strong customer focus with excellent communication skills\n\no Confident, diplomatic, and ethical when dealing with clients and colleagues\n\no Team player with a proactive attitude\n\no Safety-conscious with a commitment to quality and compliance\n\nWhat's on offer:\n\n* Salry including door to door + OT = £45k -£55k \n\n* Opportunity to work with cutting-edge industrial technology\n\n* Company van or car\n\n* Company credit card\n\n* 26 days annual leave + bank holidays\n\n* Ongoing training and professional development\n\n* A varied role with travel and technical challenges\n\n* Supportive team environment and strong company culture
