Jobstore are currently recruiting for a Field Service Engineer to join our client's state of the art operation and lead the maintenance, support and repair function for this organisation across the Cheshire and Greater Manchester areas. This is a leading and well established business who are seeking a Field Service Engineer to provide comprehensive service, maintenance, repair, commissioning, and validation services for a wide range of client equipment operating in hospitals, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and industrial settings. This role involves working across a number of locations to ensure the best performance and functionality of their bespoke products, aligning with client requirements and specific industry standards.

Responsibilities

  • Provide service, maintenance, repair, commissioning, and validation services for client equipment in hospitals, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and industrial settings.
  • Travel across locations in Cheshire and Greater Manchester; occasional customer visits outside regular hours with enhanced overtime rate.
  • Maintain and certify equipment to British, European, or International Standards; work with PLC-based control systems; control and instrumentation systems; calibration systems.
  • Support ISO 9001 quality systems; work under GMP conditions; maintain equipment in line with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with teams; communicate effectively under pressure; manage own workload to achieve targets.
  • Experience with Microbiological Safety Cabinets, Flow Cabinets, Powder Control Booths, Fume Cupboards, Clean Rooms, Sterile Suites or Operating Theatres is advantageous.
  • Possess P601 accreditation and LEV experience; IIE 18th Edition; Control and Instrumentation systems experience.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Prior field service experience in a relevant technical field; flexible travel availability; willingness to visit customer sites.
  • Accreditations: P601 and LEV experience.
  • Experience in ISO 9001 Quality systems, GMP conditions, and maintaining equipment to British, European, or International Standards; PLC-based control systems; calibration; laboratory-type biomedical equipment.
