About the Role for Field Service Engineer:
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Field Service Engineer to join a leading security systems integrator delivering advanced electronic security solutions across the UK. This is a field-based position covering Stoke, Leeds, and Manchester, working on a wide range of CCTV, Access Control, Perimeter Detection, and Integrated Security Systems for commercial, public sector, and critical infrastructure clients. You'll be responsible for maintenance, fault-finding, servicing, and reactive repairs on large-scale, high-end integrated systems, ensuring our clients' sites remain secure, compliant, and operational. This role offers a varied workload, exposure to the latest security technologies, and opportunities for training and career progression within a growing engineering team.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive service calls on CCTV, Access Control, Intruder, and Security Systems.
Diagnose and repair faults across analogue, IP, and network-based security systems.
Service and maintain equipment including DVRs, NVRs, network switches, and control room systems.
Provide technical support for perimeter intrusion detection, gates, and barrier systems.
Complete service reports, update job management systems, and maintain accurate documentation.
Deliver an excellent standard of customer service and communication at all times.
Participate in the on-call rota and work flexibly, including occasional nights away.
Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with relevant standards and procedures.
Skills & Experience Required
Essential:
Proven experience as a Field Service Engineer, Security Systems Engineer, or CCTV Engineer.
Strong technical knowledge of CCTV systems (analogue and IP), Access Control systems (multi-site and site mustering), and Intruder Alarm Systems.
Understanding of Networking and IP configuration.
Ability to diagnose and repair electronic security faults on-site.
Full UK driving licence.
Excellent communication, organisation, and customer-facing skills.Benefits include:
