Fire Extinguisher Engineer / Fire Alarm Engineer Package Details: * Basic salary: £38,000 – £40,000 * Paid travel (minus 30 minutes) * 23 days holiday, rising to 25 + bank holidays * Bonus of up to 5% of annual salary (performance-based) * £20 per day standby allowance * Call out rota: 1 in 8 weeks * Two weeks a month staying away (all expenses covered: hotel, meals + £25 per night paid ) Company Overview: Our client is a well-established fire protection company with decades of experience delivering expert solutions across fire extinguishers, fire alarms, and emergency lighting systems. With a commitment to compliance and customer satisfaction, they continue to grow and now require additional engineers to support demand. Role Overview: This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Fire Extinguisher Engineer / Fire Alarm Engineer to join a respected team. The role offers variety, stability, and the chance to develop further across multiple fire safety disciplines. You’ll spend around 70% of your time carrying out fire extinguisher servicing and 30% on fire alarms and emergency lighting. The position includes working on substation sites and requires flexibility for some travel, with two weeks per month working away (all expenses covered). Key Responsibilities: * Service, maintain, and repair fire extinguishers, fire alarms, and emergency lighting systems * Diagnose faults and carry out remedial works to ensure compliance with relevant British Standards * Covering Dorset, Taunton, Exeter, on occassions to South Wales and Cornwall * Attend occasional emergency call-outs (1 in 8 weeks) * Deliver high-quality work with a customer-focused approach * Work away from home two weeks per month (paid travel, hotels, meals, and additional pay of £25) Ideal Candidate: * Previous experience as a Fire Extinguisher Engineer, Fire Alarm Service Engineer, or similar fire safety role * FIA or manufacturer training (advantageous but not essential) * Strong communication and customer service skills * A team player with the ability to work independently * Flexible to travel and stay away when required At Secure & Recruit, we pride ourselves on offering a trustworthy and personalised recruitment experience.
