Overview Looking to recruit a Fire Alarm Engineer @ EEFS Solutions. Based in Hampshire (Awbridge / Southampton). We’re looking for a skilled Fire Alarm Engineer to join our growing team. If you’ve got strong technical expertise in fire safety systems, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and take pride in keeping people safe, this could be the role for you. Inspect and maintain fire alarm systems, AOVs, and emergency lighting Carry out troubleshooting, fault finding, repairs, and small works (e.g. replacement control panels, call points) Install and wire fire detection systems Commission and maintain conventional, addressable, and domestic/commercial systems (Grades A & D) Keep accurate records and ensure compliance with industry standards (BS5839-1 & 6, BS5266-1, BAFE) Stay up to date with new technologies
Experience with CCTV, door entry, access control, or electric gates would be an advantage (but not essential).
Proven experience in fire alarm system commissioning, maintenance, and fault finding Knowledge of BS5839-1 & 6 and BS5266-1, with the ability to apply these in practice Strong literacy, numeracy, and IT skills Good communication and customer service skills A collaborative team player with strong time management Solid understanding of Health & Safety practices and documentation
What we offer

Emergency lighting, fire alarm, and AOV testing & maintenance (weekly, monthly, quarterly, 6-monthly, annual) Installations, repairs, and upgrades in line with BS 5266 & BS 5839-1 Bespoke logbooks, asset registers, and zone plans 24/7 emergency response for maintained properties
Electrical Services
Fixed Wire Testing (EICR) and remedials General electrical repairs, call-outs, and maintenance Lighting installations, including energy-saving upgrades, sensors, and outdoor/communal lighting PAT and appliance testing Property surveys to identify compliance and safety issues
Security & Access Control
CCTV installation, maintenance, repairs, and evidence retrieval for Police support Intercoms and access control systems — installation, fault finding, and repairs Automated gate, barrier, and bollard installation and servicing Force testing and risk assessments Ongoing maintenance, repairs, and emergency call-outs
