This is a key position, undertaking Fire installation, commissioning and maintenance works alongside the Security Systems team whilst operating in compliance with company policy and procedure. This position would be suitable for someone with a background in Fire Alarms and general fire experience, CCTV, Access Control, Intruder experience would be beneficial.\n\nKey Accountabilities:\n\nMultiple system type installation to commissioning and handover of Fire including Addressable /Non- addressable systems, Air Sampling, Beam Detection, Wireless etc in accordance with the current standards and Codes of Practice.\nWork within project time constraints, identifying and communicating without delay any potential risks to the project delivery dates.\nAbility to commission and handover systems in line with the specification and drawings, including giving client demonstrations.\nFIA qualifications (BS5839 Fundamentals/Advanced and Commissioning)\nA full understanding of BS5839 (All parts) - SSSTS to supervise 3rd parties on sites as required.\nEnsure all relevant H&S requirements are complied with.\nEnsure the health, safety and welfare of yourself and the team in accordance with Company policy.\nCompletion of the relevant e-documentation (via tablet) or paperwork in line with FIA & BAFE requirements.\nActively always support company policy and best practice around fire and security, with emphasis on the protection of sensitive customer information.\nKnowledge of integration of detection systems into other disciplines would be a real advantage.\nProvide technical support for all departments within the City.\nThe ability to assist in the teaching and development of trainee Engineers\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:\n\nA proven background and experience of Fire Alarms minimum of 2-3 years.\nFIA qualifications (Advanced and Commissioning)\nA full understanding of BS5839 is essential.\nKnowledge of integration of detection systems into other disciplines would be a real advantage.\nAbility to program varying manufacturers cause and effects from a laptop is essential.\nGood communication skills are required as majority of the role will involve being in a customer facing environment.\nThe ability to work alone and effectively organise your time.\nA good understanding of the Standards which relate to our Industry and the systems we install is required.\nA full understanding of Health and Safety is essential.\nA full clean driving licence and a willingness to travel to locations across the country.\nECS/CSCS Card.

IPAFF and Asbestos awareness essential\nSSSTS to enable supervision of third-party contractors while on site is essential\nWillingness to go the extra mile.\nA flexible attitude to working hours is necessary and we require a willingness to travel to locations across the country.
