Job Opportunity: Fire & Security Engineer\nLocation: Covering North West and Yorkshire\nHours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week\nEmployment Type: Full-time, Permanent\n\nAbout the Role\n\nWe are seeking a Fire & Security Engineer to join our team, responsible for the servicing, maintenance, and fault-finding of Fire and Security Systems. The role covers a regional area, primarily across the North West and Yorkshire, with minimal long-distance travel.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\n * \n\n Servicing Fire and Security Systems including:\n\n * \n\n Intruder Alarms\n\n * \n\n Access Control\n\n * \n\n CCTV\n\n * \n\n Fire Alarm Systems (both addressable and conventional panels)\n\n * \n\n Commissioning of systems (following training)\n\n * \n\n Fault finding and diagnostics across the systems listed above\n\n * \n\n Communicating effectively with customers and colleagues\n\n * \n\n Participation in an on-call rota (approximately 1 in 7 weeks)\n\n * \n\n Use of company-provided laptop and mobile phone\n\nSkills and Experience\n\nEssential:\n\n * \n\n Experience in servicing, maintaining and fault finding on Fire Alarm Systems, CCTV, Intruder Alarms, Access Control, Refuge intercoms\n\n * \n\n Full UK driving licence\n\n * \n\n Able to pass security screening\n\nDesirable (Training Provided if Needed):\n\nFire: Notifier, Gent, Advanced, Morley, C-Tec, Kentec\n\nIntruder: Galaxy, Texecom\n\nAccess Control: Paxton, Inner Range, PAC\n\nCCTV: Hikvision, Bosch, Dahua, Pelco\n\nSalary and Benefits\n\nCompetitive salary (based on experience)\n\n * \n\n Additional earnings available through:\n\n * \n\n Overtime\n\n * \n\n Work outside normal hours\n\n * \n\n Participation in on-call rota\n\n * \n\n On-call standby rate above current industry rates\n\n * \n\n Travel time paid after 30 minutes each way\n\n * \n\n Time and a half paid after 40 hours\n\n * \n\n Double time paid after 12pm on Saturdays and all-day Sundays\n\n * \n\n Company vehicle (with personal use) and fuel card\n\n * \n\n Company laptop and mobile phone\n\n * \n\n Paid referral scheme – up to £500 per successful candidate (no limit on referrals)\n\n * \n\n Employee recognition scheme\n\n * \n\n Holiday allowance increases with service, up to 33 days including bank holidays\n\n * \n\n In-house training and manufacturer-specific training provided\n\n * \n\n Pension and health benefits\n\n * \n\n Company events and social gatherings\n\n * \n\n Stable, long-term work with clear development and progression opportunities\n\nProgression and Development\n\nWe actively support internal progression.
