We are now looking to employ Fire & Security Installation Engineers to work across sites in the UK.

The position will involve, but will not be limited to, the following responsibilities and requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Install multiple system types to pre-commissioning of Fire, Intruder Alarm, CCTV, Access Control and DDA systems in accordance with current standards and Codes of Practice.
  • Work within project time constraints, identifying and communicating any potential risks to the project delivery dates without delay.
  • Commission and handover systems in line with the specification and drawings, including giving client demonstrations.
  • Experience with network/IP based products is advantageous.
  • Understand BS5839; FIA qualifications are beneficial but not essential.
  • Ensure timesheets and all relevant paperwork are completed on time.
  • Undertake relevant training as required and comply with Health & Safety requirements.
  • Be seconded to the Service Department or other projects as required by the business.
  • Ensure the health, safety and welfare of yourself and the team in accordance with company policy.
  • Complete relevant e-documentation (via tablet) or paperwork in line with SSAIB & BAFE requirements.
  • Actively support company policy and best practice in fire and security, with emphasis on protecting sensitive customer information.
  • Knowledge of integration of detection systems into other disciplines is advantageous.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven background and experience of Intruder, CCTV, Fire Alarms, Access Control, Door Entry and DDA systems.
  • Network/IP based product experience is beneficial.
  • FIA qualifications are beneficial but not essential; a full understanding of BS5839 is essential.
  • Good communication skills for customer-facing roles.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Strong understanding of relevant industry Standards and Health & Safety.
  • Full driving licence and willingness to travel nationwide; some overnight stays may be required.
  • ECS Card.
  • Flexible attitude to working hours and a proactive, team-focused approach.

Working Arrangements

Working hours are 08:30 to 17:00 with a 30 minute lunch break. Salary will be discussed at interview stage. Applicants from newly qualified installation engineers are welcome; please state level of experience.
