Fire & Security Engineer – Brighton area\n\nGent training. Paid travel. Proper team support.\n\nYou’ll be joining a well-backed fire and security group with a down-to-earth approach and a solid record of looking after engineers.
No fluff, no nonsense, just decent kit, paid training, and a support team that gets it.\n\nThis role is ideal if you’ve already got experience with the tools and want to sharpen up your fire or security knowledge, especially if you’re keen to add Gent to your skillset.\n\nWhat’s on offer\n\n• £35,000–£39,000 basic salary\n\n• Paid travel time (after first 30 mins)\n\n• Company van with personal use + fuel card\n\n• Double time Sundays + day off in lieu (if on-call)\n\n• 6 paid training days per year (Gent, Kentec, Apollo & more)\n\n• Healthcare cashback plan\n\n• 22 days holiday + bank holidays (rising to 30 with service)\n\n• Supportive team, no micromanaging, no corporate waffle\n\nWhat you’ll be doing\n\nYou’ll be servicing and maintaining fire and security systems across Brighton and occasionally Dartford. That includes fault-finding, carrying out remedial works, and taking part in the call-out rota, which is paid door-to-door. The systems are varied, and if you’re not yet up to speed on Gent, you’ll get full training.\n\nWhat you’ll need\n\n• 3+ years’ experience in fire or security servicing\n\n• Solid understanding of BS5839\n\n• Familiar with Gent, Kentec or Apollo (or willing to train)\n\n• Full UK manual driving licence\n\n• Enhanced DBS (or happy to apply for one)\n\nWho you’ll be working for\n\nYou’ll be part of a growing, well-resourced group that puts engineers first.
