Ph Water & Air Technologies is looking for a Fire Damper Tester & Remedial Engineer to join our expanding team. We are a leading provider of fire and life safety solutions in the UK. This role would suit those who reside within the Essex and South London area. As a Fire Damper Tester & Remedial Engineer you will be responsible for assessing, testing, and repairing fire dampers within buildings throughout the UK. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the safety of buildings and play a vital role in our company's mission.
What you receive for joining us:
We offer a competitive salary of £32,000 to £38,000 per annum, depending on experience, a company pension and healthcare, a financial loyalty bonus that equates to £600 per annum, 25 days holiday per year plus Bank Holidays, working 40hrs per week Mon-Fri with career development with lots of overtime available, company vehicle, fuel card, mobile phone & expenses. alongside other benefits we’d be happy to tell you about.

Here’s a look at some of the things you’ll be doing:
Inspect, test, and maintain fire dampers in commercial and residential buildings, carrying out detailed assessments, identifying faults, and rectifying issues through cleaning, repair, tek screw removal/replacement, or full replacement, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards
Record and report findings by completing inspection documentation, test results, and remedial action logs, and provide clients and building owners with detailed reports and recommendations
Work collaboratively with project managers and colleagues to plan and complete work on time, keeping up to date with fire safety regulations, industry standards, and best practices
Maintain equipment and uphold safety by ensuring tools are in good working order, adhering to health and safety regulations, and following safe working practices at all timesCan you show experience in some of these areas?
Experience as a Fire Damper Remedial Engineer or similar role, with in-depth knowledge of fire damper systems, including installation, operation, maintenance, and relevant UK fire safety regulations and standards
Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and repair faults, proficient in the use of hand tools and equipment for fire damper maintenance, and able to analyse and interpret technical information with excellent attention to detail
Effective verbal and written communication skills to liaise with clients and produce clear, concise reports, with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Valid UK driving licence with essential qualifications and certifications in fire safety, engineering, or related fieldsDo you see yourself reflected in the description above?
