Salary:£30,000-£40,000 (OTE £45,000)

Location: Cannock/ Staffordshire Area

About the Role

We're looking for a skilled Fire Alarm & Small Works Engineer to join our growing team. You'll be responsible for the installation, commissioning, servicing, and minor works associated with a range of fire detection and life safety systems across commercial, industrial, and residential sites.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong technical background in fire systems who takes pride in delivering high-quality work and excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, service, and maintain fire alarm systems in line with BS5839 standards as a Fire Alarm and Small Works engineer.
  • Perform minor repairs and system modifications, including panel replacements and detector installations.
  • Diagnose and repair system faults efficiently and professionally.
  • Complete commissioning and handover documentation accurately.
  • Liaise with clients, site managers, and colleagues to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Ensure all work complies with health, safety, and company standards as a Fire and Small Works engineer

    • Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience working with fire alarm systems (addressable and conventional).
  • Knowledge of key manufacturers such as Advanced, Kentec, Morley, Gent, or Apollo.
  • Understanding of BS5839 and general fire industry best practices.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • FIA training or equivalent qualifications (advantageous).
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills,
