We're Hiring Talented and Motivated Fire Engineers of All Levels Hybrid (Manchester or London)
We’re a growing practice looking for talented and motivated Fire Engineers of all levels to join our team. You’ll be working on a variety of exciting and complex projects across multiple sectors – including residential, commercial, mixed-use and public buildings – helping to shape safe and sustainable built environments.
Location: Hybrid role with flexibility to work from home and attend site/client meetings. Ideally based in or near London or Manchester.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Delivering bespoke, pragmatic, timely and responsive services to build long term client relationships.
- Continuously developing your skills, knowledge, experience and behaviors to grow your competencies.
- Developing fire strategies for new and existing buildings.
- Conducting design reviews and developing performance based and code-compliant solutions.
- Carrying out site inspections and preparing reports.
- Liaising directly with design teams, clients, and approving authorities.
- Supporting engineers across the team.
- Contributing to the wider success of the business beyond project work.
What We’re Looking For
- A passion for learning, understanding, and applying codes and standards such as Approved Document B, BS 9991, BS 9999, BS 7974, and related guidance.
- A fundamental understanding of, or desire to learn, performance based fire engineering principles and analysis methods such as CFD, evacuation modeling, radiant heat transfer, fire dynamics, etc.
- A desire to meet and exceed client and team expectations, build long term relationships, and focus on the long term.
- An ambition to be a rounded Fire Safety Engineer with an understanding of fire engineering principles, codes and standards, project management, people leadership, commercial management, and the wider community impacts of our work.
- Chartered, working towards Chartered status, or an aspiration to be Chartered.
- A collaborative approach and passion for delivering high-quality work.
- Strong report writing and communication skills – clear, accurate, and concise.
- A degree in Fire Engineering, Engineering, or a related discipline.
