The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, inspection, testing, maintenance, and repair of fire detection and security systems.
You will play a crucial role in ensuring our clients’ premises are secure and compliant with all relevant safety regulations.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nInstall, commission, and maintain fire alarm systems, intruder alarms, CCTV, and access control systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.\n\nConduct routine inspections, testing, and servicing of fire and security systems to ensure operational efficiency and compliance with industry standards.\n\nDiagnose and troubleshoot faults with fire and security equipment and provide timely repairs.\n\nLiaise with clients to understand their security needs and provide technical support and advice.\n\nComplete service reports, maintenance records, and installation documentation accurately and promptly.\n\nEnsure all work complies with current fire safety legislation, security regulations, and company policies.\n\nCollaborate with the sales and project management teams to deliver seamless installation projects.\n\nMaintain and manage stock levels of spare parts and equipment.\n\nKeep up to date with the latest technology and industry developments in fire and security systems.\n\nAdhere to all health and safety protocols while on-site and promote safe working practices.\n\nQualifications & Skills:\n\nProven experience as a Fire & Security Engineer or similar role.\n\nStrong knowledge of fire alarm systems, intruder alarms, CCTV, and access control installation and maintenance.\n\nRelevant certifications such as NICET, City & Guilds, or equivalent in fire and security systems installation/maintenance.\n\nFamiliarity with relevant standards and legislation (e.g., BS 5839, BS 6266, BS EN 50131, etc.).\n\nAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.\n\nExcellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.\n\nStrong communication and customer service skills.\n\nValid driving license and willingness to travel to various client sites.\n\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team.\n\nPreferred:\n\nExperience with system programming and integration.\n\nElectrical or electronic engineering background.\n\nFirst aid and fire warden training.\n\nBenefits:\n\nCompetitive salary and benefits package.\n\nCompany vehicle and fuel card.\n\nTraining and development opportunities.\n\nSupportive and dynamic working environment.\n\nINDC
