Overview

Fire & Security Engineer role at Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services. An experienced engineer will join the Mitie Fire & Security Systems Operations Field service team to ensure effective delivery of PPM, Reactive calls and additional Small Works, in compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out routine servicing, testing, inspection, repairs, and installation of fire alarms, CCTV, intruder alarms, access control and associated equipment to relevant legislative and qualitative standards.
  • Maintain appropriate documentation and records in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Work to high levels of Health and Safety standards; perform fault finding and resolve issues on Fire & Security systems.
  • Participate in company-initiated training to keep knowledge up to date with technical aspects of the role.
  • Assist with PPM, reactive calls and Small Works as part of the Field service team; adhere to RAMS and safety procedures.

Qualifications

  • Experience in PPM, reactive calls and Small Works within the Fire & Security Systems industry.
  • Service testing and inspection experience to relevant standards/codes; fault-finding techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills and basic Microsoft Word and Excel literacy.
  • Ability to work to high Health and Safety requirements and follow Health and Safety Legislation; able to work with little supervision and take initiative.
  • Desirable: experience with RAMS and Accident Reporting; knowledge of Fire & Security systems design and installation.
