Fluid Power Applications Engineer

Working remotely, the Fluid Power Application Engineer will be responsible for providing expert product application engineering services to our strategic IFF (Industrial Fluid & Conveyance) customers across Northern Europe. The role will involve investigating customer applications, offering optimal solutions with existing products, and contributing to new product development when required. Be a key player in the Product Commercialization Process, collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Product Development, and Manufacturing, to ensure successful project execution and customer satisfaction.
The responsibilities of this role include:
- Providing application engineering services for IFF customers in hydraulic, industrial, and engine conveyance product lines.
- Building strong engineering relationships with key accounts and advising on product selection and application.
- Collaborating with GPLM/Product Development to create new solutions when existing products don't meet customer needs.
- Reviewing customer drawings, specifications, and BOMs; entering parts into the CPQ system for quoting.
- Supporting the Product Commercialisation Process, particularly with P2P concept implementation.
- Coordinating with internal teams to ensure customer needs are met.
- Traveling to customer locations and industry sites for feedback and quality assurance.
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Acquired general knowledge of principles and practices of related fields, and the ability to function on multidisciplinary teams.
- Knowledge of best practices and how your area integrates with others; awareness of the competition and the factors that differentiate the company in the market.
- A university degree or equivalent experience with technical ability required.
- Strong technical aptitude and experience in product application engineering.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and planning skills.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet customer needs and project goals.
- Proficiency in using IT tools and systems for managing projects and customer interactions.
