Founding AI Engineer - Financial LLM Platform

London (Hybrid, 3-5 days/week) • Full-Time | £80k-£120k + equity

A venture-backed AI startup is building a cutting-edge LLM-based platform for financial analysis. We're automating core analyst workflows in financial services by deeply integrating enterprise knowledge with agentic AI. Having just completed a top-tier accelerator and closed our pre-seed round, we're seeing strong early traction and are hiring a Founding Engineer to help us move fast and build category-defining tech.

What You'll Do

• Lead development of our agentic LLM system, ensuring it answers accurately and consistently
• Design robust pipelines to parse, index, retrieve, and cite data from complex financial documents
• Build internal evaluation tooling and feedback loops to measure answer quality
• Rapidly prototype and deploy novel ideas across the full stack

What We're Looking For

• Strong engineer with fluency in Python
• Experience building LLM applications (RAG, prompting, fine-tuning, evals)
• A power user of LLMs in day-to-day work (and life)
• Autonomous problem-solver who thrives in ambiguous environments
• Curiosity about how financial analysts think, work, and make decisions
