Founding Engineer – AI Infrastructure startup – Remote up to £180kDo you have a solid AI Research background?Do you have experience working in an AI startup, building it from the ground up? Are you up-to-date with the latest in AI?The challengeWe’re a VC-funded startup in the AGI space, creating a platform for multi-agent systems to work seamlessly with each other. We’re leveraging the latest research in Agentic AI and distributed systems to develop infrastructure for autonomous and accountable agents.About youYou’ll be an AI expert with at least 5 years of experience, ideally in a highly scalable AI startup, with a genuine passion for AI technologies. You should have experienced various use cases (both successes and failures), be up-to-date with current AI research, and have an entrepreneurial mindset. You should cherish ambiguity and be capable of rapidly translating state-of-the-art research into prototypes.What we are looking forA strong research background (PhD desirable)At least 3 years of commercial experience developing PoCs, training, and deploying AI modelsExperience with launching and scaling AI productsSolid experience with deploying AI modelsExperience fine-tuning recent LLMs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Claude, LLaMA, Mistral, etc.)Up-to-date with current AI researchBenefitsThe role is fully remote, with the team based in San Francisco. The salary is up to £180k, with equity and startup perks.
