About the Company:

We are partnered with a fast-growing, early-stage Y Combinator-backed AI start-up transforming billing and pricing infrastructure for AI companies. Their platform simplifies complex subscription models, usage tracking, and feature management, enabling startups to ship new plans quickly, manage usage efficiently, and scale without building billing systems from scratch. It’s a developer-friendly solution that handles subscriptions, usage-based billing, overages, credits, and flexible plan upgrades, all seamlessly integrated with Stripe.


About the Role:

They are currently seeking a dynamic Founding Engineer with an entrepreneurial mindset to join the team and help build the company from the ground up. This is a unique opportunity to take real ownership, help shape the product and architecture, and make an immediate impact.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and ship efficient, high-quality code rapidly, switching between technologies and quickly mastering new concepts.
  • Independently identify what makes a great product and build scalable, maintainable architecture swiftly.
  • Work across the full stack: client-facing GUIs, backend logic, and cloud infrastructure optimisation.
  • Engage with users to understand challenges and create exceptional product experiences.
  • Adapt to changing priorities, embrace risk, and deliver features quickly to meet customer needs.
  • Make scalable design decisions using a modern tech stack.
  • Exhibit exceptional work ethic, communication skills, and a self-starter mentality.


Requirements:

  • Graduate from a top 5 UK university (in a related field to role)
  • 1-3 years of professional engineering experience, ideally in a fast-paced start-up or product-focused environment.
  • Entrepreneurial self-starter who is highly adaptable with a problem-solving mindset.
  • Full-stack experience and willingness to dive into any part of the stack.
  • Prior experience in building products, ideally for real users. is a plus.
  • Comfortable working in a small, fast-paced, in-office setting.
  • Excited by real ownership, visibility, and the chance to help shape the company’s future at a critical stage.
