Founding Software Engineer

Software Engineer | C# | .NET | React | TypeScript | FinTech | Start-Up | London

We are seeking a talented Software Engineer to join as a Founding Product Engineer at an early-stage FinTech. You will work on building an instant, transparent, and affordable payments network. This role would suit a Software Engineer who thrives in a start-up environment, loves coding, and wants to influence architecture and product direction from day one.

Salary: Up to £70,000

Equity: 1%+

Location: London 5 days per week

What you’ll do:

• Work directly with leadership to design, build, and launch the core platform using C#, .NET, TypeScript, and React.
• Write high-quality, maintainable code daily as a hands-on Software Engineer.
• Build backend APIs, front-end web apps, and systems integrations using C# and .NET, with React and TypeScript on the front end.
• Leverage AI tools to design, debug, and ship features faster, boosting productivity.
• Influence architectural decisions, including enterprise patterns such as microservices, DDD, and CQRS.

Who you are:

• Experienced in C# .NET, with 3+ years experience as a Software Engineer.
• Comfortable working across the full stack and adapting to new technologies quickly. Its preferred that candidates have worked with TypeScript / React however this role is Backend leaning. .NET Software Engineers with limited Frontend exposure or different frameworks are encouraged to apply.
• Ambitious and highly driven, with an interest in start-up growth and potential leadership opportunities.
• Ideally, a background in fintech or payments and strong problem-solving skills.
