Our client, a Leading Quantitative Trading Firm, is seeking a Senior FPGA Engineer to join its high-performance technology team.


This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge hardware solutions that power electronic trading strategies. You’ll be part of a collaborative environment where engineers and quantitative researchers work closely to optimize performance and scale systems across multiple platforms.



Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the design, implementation, and verification of FPGA-based systems used in latency-sensitive trading environments.
  • Develop reusable IP blocks and scalable architectures for deployment across different hardware platforms.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to integrate FPGA solutions into broader trading and networking infrastructure.
  • Optimize designs for speed, reliability, and efficiency while maintaining code quality and reusability.
  • Support production systems, troubleshoot performance issues, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Explore new hardware and software technologies that could enhance the firm’s trading capabilities.


Ideal Candidates

  • Professional experience in FPGA/ASIC development and digital logic design.
  • Strong proficiency with hardware description languages (SystemVerilog, Verilog, or VHDL).
  • Solid understanding of digital design principles and verification methodologies.
  • Experience with FPGA toolchains and flows for design, synthesis, simulation, and debugging.
  • Knowledge of C++ and familiarity with scripting languages such as Python or Bash.
  • Background in networking protocols, packet processing, or high-speed transceivers is advantageous.
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
